What is your professional/academic background?

I am currently a Senior Strategy Analyst with Boeing BDS, leading project teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives for the company’s Defense, Space, and Security business units and functions. I have over 17 years of experience in strategy, operations, and human capital consulting, working with C-level and senior leadership clients across various industry verticals, including Fortune 500 manufacturing firms, governmental agencies, and nonprofit entities.

Why did you decide to pursue an MSBA?

I decided to pursue an MSBA to further my technical skills and promote more data-driven, market-based decision-making with my clients.

What led you to UVA’s MSBA Program?

UVA’s academic reputation, the one-year length, and level of technical depth balanced with promoting a solid understanding of the business context for which analysis is conducted were all attractive aspects of the MSBA Program.

What have you enjoyed most and/or what are you looking forward to in the program?

I’ve enjoyed the people and the quality of instruction during a challenging academic experience. I’m looking forward to applying what I’m learning during my course of work.

What are your interests and hobbies?

A balance of outdoor activities (especially fishing, golf, rec sports, and the beach) and in-town cultural events, dining, and museums. I love spending time on the water and coming back to the craziness that is downtown DC.

What is your favorite place you have traveled to?

The Caribbean and South Florida have always had a special place in my life—sun, sand, sports, and fun.

What is your favorite aspect(s) of residencies?

I appreciate the commute to the Rosslyn residencies; the building and view are phenomenal.

What is your best piece of advice for prospective students?

Just do it, you will learn more than you can anticipate, and trust the process.
